Frequently Asked Questions

Account & Identity

Creating an account is 100% free. You only pay for the specific leagues you choose to join based on the Commissioner's settings, such as any entry fees.

Pelluche Sports is built as a high-performance web app. You can get an app-like experience by opening the site in your mobile browser and selecting "Add to Home Screen" from the menu. This puts an icon on your phone for one-tap access without needing to visit the App Store.

Check your spam or "Promotions" folder first. If it's not there, you can request a resend from the login screen or Email Us and we'll look into it and can manually approve your account if problem still occurs.

To join a private league, you need an invite link provided by your Commissioner. This can be found on the league dashboard. Once you have it, click on "Join League" and enter the League Password the commissioner should've provided to you. That league password can be found in the league settings for the commissioner.

If you don't have the join link, you can browse all leagues and even search by name to find it.

Gameplay & Strategy

Picks lock at the start of the first matchup of the week, typically Thursdays at 8:15pm ET.

If commissioner has "Allow Late Picks" enabled, you can still get your picks in before the start of matchup #2 for that week. You'll automatically lose game 1 as a consequence.

If a game is canceled or postponed beyond the current week's schedule after Tuesday when the new week has started by the system, it will remain in the matchups but the system will simply not enter a "winner". All players will receive a "loss" for this game to ensure it stays fair for any players that already made picks for that matchup. This is rare, usually games just get played in another city if weather will impact it.

If enabled by the Commish, the system will generate picks for any player that missed the deadline. The system will generate these based off the Tie-Breaker method chosen by the commissioner. This will be either "All Home Teams", "All Away Teams", or "Random Teams Selected" strategy.

Tie-breaker scores for auto-picks are randomized between 0-50. Your commissioner will determine the Auto Picks Method in the league settings.
Note: The commissioner must trigger this manually in the commish tools

Ties are broken using the final game of the week (MNF). You are required to enter a tie-breaker score when submitting your weekly picks.

If multiple people get the same wins that week, it goes to the tie-breaker. Whoever has the closest tie-breaker difference wins the pot!

Your commissioner sets the tie-breaker method for the league.
Method Logic
Total Points

Predict the combined total of both teams. The player closest to the actual total (over or under) wins the tie.

Example: You predicted 40 total points. MNF game score was 20-17, which equals 37 total points. You would have 3 for a tie-breaker difference.

Predict Actual Score

Predict the exact Home and Away score. Whoever comes closest to the real score wins the pot. We use Absolute Difference math:

(Actual Home Score - Predicted Home Score) + (Actual Away Score - Predicted Away Score) = Tie-Breaker Difference

The lowest total "Tie-Breaker Difference" wins the tie.

Example: You predicted 20-30 for MNF. MNF game score was 25-20.
Formula: (20-25) + (30-20) = 15

Finances & The Ledger

Navigate to My League > Make Payment. Select the fee type to auto-populate the Venmo app with the Commissioner's handle and the correct amount.

We do not handle payments directly on our site. The commissioner can choose to use venmo, paypal, cash, etc. We just help venmo auto populate so you don't have to ask who do we pay.

Note: Paypal/Venmo API direct integration would require commissioners to pay a "business/service fee" for every player, and we didn't find it right to force this within our app when leagues are mostly family and friends.

How the Venmo Integration Works:

  • Login Required: Ensure you are logged into the Venmo app or web browser before clicking. This allows the data to hand off securely to your account.
  • Smart-Fill Buttons: Clicking helper buttons like "Week Dues" automatically sets the price and adds a payment note so the Commissioner knows exactly what game the payment is for.
  • Status Verification: Once the Commissioner receives your funds, they manually update the ledger. Your status badge will flip to Green instantly if you are paid in full.

Commissioners can track personal bets between players by adding a "Side Bet Fee" to the financial ledger. This keeps all your league's "sub-bets" organized in one financial view. It will be added to each users fees that the commissioner adds it to.

Yes! If you have rollover funds from a previous season/game or the commissioner owed you money and wants to credit your entry fee for example, the Commissioner can apply a "Credit" that reduces your total balance owed.

Commissioner Powers

Yes. The league creator can assign Co-Commissioner status to any member, giving them access to the financial ledger and league settings. This can be done on the Commish -> Manage Members page.

Commissioners have full ledger control: they can add fees (Entry, Weekly, Side Bets), apply credits, log manual payments, and adjust payouts for winners. If you paid, and the commissioner forgot to add that transaction to your account you should contact the commissioner. If you don't see it in the My League -> Activity Feed, then the commissioner didn't add it yet.
